Google?

I am sorry to be rude, but if you have knowledge to build up such a system you have to know how to check the prices of your competitors.

There is also samsung on the market. And Teufel (if i could afford it)

I am sure your system is nice and perfectly working but don't you think it's enough of this marketing thread?

Yes, sure I know these products and Samsung too. But they are very expensive. I just always try to find best ratio price/quality.

So why do you ask about prices? Sorry but this not serious.

If you would be looking for a cheaper system you wuold go for LMS. You are just trying to push your system. This is OK. But one post is enough. Do not ask questions if you know the answers. This is not fair. I am happy to hear about new product in this forum. But I am fed up with this stupid Marketing. Please STOP!

    1. First of all, I'm sorry, I didn't want to injure you.

    2. We just trying to find best solution for multi-room functionality. And this is not our product. We just found it and developed VD.

    3. This is not Marketing, we are installers from Ukraine. I guess there are only 2-3 people on this forum from this country.

Let's continue to current topic and honestly compare available solutions on market.

Our customers usually ask: "Is it possible to install multi-room with Z-Wave modules without additional wires?".

    I think

Please login or register to see this link.

is very interesting product, but it doesn't have optical output, does not support SD cards and doesn't support multiroom.

Sonos, NuVo and Samsung are great, but very expensive.

Solutions like Raspberry requires NAS or Linux MediaServer and sometimes installers want to have "black box" easy to install.

Just described my vision of current situation.

P.S. Virtual device was added to this topic.

You don't need NAS for raspberry. You can do everyting on 1 raspberry. Also you can integrate amp for raspberry. It's cheaper and more powerfull but you need more time.

    Raspberry:

You can install Mopidy (MPD) or Logitech server.

I think you are being unfair to the OP, as he says he has made a Virtual Device for another companies product. I've bought them from elsewhere and they work well. Being able to control via Fibaro is a bonus, nothing else.

The multi room streamers don't have speakers and require a powered amp and speaker. They are very cheap in comparison to the other products that have been mentioned but as I said its not a speaker.

I cannot agree with you. As I wrote above, I do not have any problems with presenting of new products and looking for the best solutions. But look into the asked questions. I mentioned LMS and presented a link to VD. Is there any comment, question etc? No. There are only questions to make his product look superior to others.

Maybe his product is better and worth some extra $. Maybe. There are so some arguments against LMS. E.g: LMS works fine, but the apps for mobile phones have a low WAF (at least the apps that I found).

    Thank for your support.

Actually VD attached to main post:

Please login or register to see this link.

    Some details about it.

It works with DLNA protocol. So it allows to send upnp requests to devices which support them.

    So you need to:

    1) import VD to Fibaro HC2.

    2) set up mac variable in PROCESS button LUA code.

    3) click INIT button.

Why do we need this strange logic?

    - These DLNA devices do not allow to set static IP address.

    - So this plugin allows to find it by MAC address.

    - Second problem. Usually opened port is changed all the time.

    - So this plugin sends DLNA discovery packet in order to find this port.

So main idea of my request is to improve this plugin and make it better.

Thanks Roman, I've installed it and will try it over the next couple of weeks.

Yes maybe the product is better. LMS is a very diy solution, this is more of a plug and play option. As has been said its not his product.

So with all that said, sorry to say but you were rude.

I apologised already for being rude

But I can do it once again. Sorry. I simply don't like this way of discussion but my email was over the target.

    Hey,

I just found this product and honestly it looks good.

I am reselling Rocki in slvoakia and I am using it with Fibaro system. It is cool solution, you can have 3,4,5 of them, 1 in every room and it works.

Rocki also has "multiroom" but it works only with BubbleUpNp app and what is worst, it is not sync perfectly, one stream is 1 second late...

I will put Rocki to some more tests as really it is cheaper sollution, but the VD you did on this one looks really great and what I see as extra is the remote control. Good Job there really.

Roman do you think would it be possible to connect two-three of those devices into one VD where will be the music sources and then just buttons where to play it, for example:

Kitchen, Bathroom, Living room, Kitchen+Batrhroom, Kitchen + Living room,...?

I really do apreciate your afford here!

Julexmon - dont get upset, he found a great sollution for multiroom which works, it is not difficult to install and he spend time to develop VD. Many Fibaro users will apreciate that. I am Fibaro reseller in Slovakia and I can tell you that you can not sell your solution or offer it as multiroom solution for Fibaro smart home. It is DIY project, that is completelly different category. This solution from Roman is great, as I can offer it, customer can just buy a device, install VD in 3-4 simple steps and thats it. There is the difference!

Hi Home sys, did you get the VD working straight away? I've have difficulty with it can you tell me what you did?

    thanks

Thank you very much for your feedback!

From my side I will try to provide all needed information in order to help with these devices.

There are several difficulties with them.

    1) There is no possibility to set static IP address. So I use work around, my VD tries to find device IP, by MAC address.

    2) Control PORT always different. So I use upnp discovery in order to detect this port.

    3) Group/upgroup speakers works via HTTP requests (not upnp).

    4) Grouped speakers establish direct Wi-Fi connection between each other (probably this is device specific thing).

All these information I got by reverse engineering. I sniffed packets via WireShark and implemented it for VD.

At this moment I was able to try only 2 devices. Soon I will be able to test 3 and more. So I will provide information when it will be ready.

I will try to help you. But probably I will need TeamViewer access in order to figure out why it doesn't work.

Could you share log of main loop VD?

1 - I believe this can be solved is some Wifi Routers. You basically reserve certain IP address for a MAC address. This way, any time device with this MAC address try to connect to the router, router will give it the specific IP address. It does not work with every router but with some it does.

3/4 - I hope it will be possible to say thich devices in the network shoud connect (for example kitchen and bathroom and keep living room ungrouped...)

I had trouble getting the VD to work initally because the mac address shown in the app on the device was different to the mac address that showed up on my router so once I changed it to the correct mac address it connected and worked straight away.
