Almost there!

Did you try to put the resistor in series with the blue wire? Remove the resistor from the blue terminal block. Next, remove the blue wire from the blue terminal block (output of the UBS). Connect one end of the resistor to that blue wire. Connect the other end to the UBS, to the same terminal that you removed that blue wire from.

It won't damage anything, worst case it simply doesn't work.

@petergebruers100 percent right, how else can alarm panel see resistance when sensor not triggered with normaly closed contact.

Resistor has to be in series not parallel

@petergebruers @Jamie mccrostie so i tried it as you guys suggested and still no good from the alarm side. it flashes like its being tripped or i guess thinks that the alarm wire has been cut since the resistor isn't working correctly

i've attached some photos of it from the alarm panel side (its easier to fiddle with in this location) as well as a photo of some resistor information from inside the alarm panel

one thing to note is that the resistor was place on the com (n) terminals of the pir

Have you set up output of UBS as normally closed in its parameters?

so it opens when PIR is triggered

Is UBS changing state on Fibaro GUI?

    when PIR triggered?

yes its detecting that someone has moved past the pir

So are you sure UBS contact set is closed when PIR is safe

Its something to do with that UBS output and or the resistor placement

@amurray85 do you have a ohm meter?

pull wires off UBS output terminals and confirm with ohm meter that output 1  contacts are  closed when PIR is safe  and open when PIR is  triggered.

    Hey Guys,

after some gentle persuasion from @Jamie mccrostie i gave it another go. I was obv doing something wrong last time as i hooked it up identically and it worked. One thing i did was hooked it up to the com or negative with the resistor in line before the alarm board.

Hooked both PIR's up and they both work great

    Thanks for all your help
