How long to give reinstalling back up

I spoke too loudley

yesterday I posted how good my system had been going and after finishing the last icon for weather scene and VDs, which were working great,

I did a back up from which Hc2 never came back.

Im trying to reinstall my previous back up after recovery

The queston is  how long shall I give this before I pull the pin and try again?

Shes been going 40 minutes now I think Im going to pull the pin and re do recovery

Can rule that out so

 

As expected the failed backup didnt restore but it was worth a try just to see

 

starting again with the recovery process and will restore the backup from a few days ago....

 

Are you back up and running yet ?

Interesting if you push "yes" unconfig boxes dissapear but if you start recovery again and push "no" they return, so its not a death sentance

What Im unsure of is...

If the current avalible upgrade is 4.120, which I was on but had no good back up for. 

Your only other course is to go up through your old back ups but I get up several levels then 503 error ?

Interesting now , I'm back at 4.031 and no sign of the 4.120 upgrade button .. yet...

After I did the checksum verify the 4.120 upgrade button appear on the Your House tab

I'm back up and running now

Just adding back in the few changes I made a few days ago..

 

will then monitor for 24 hrs

Update:

I seem to have been left with an interesting anomaly that I also had a few releases back

I can't create a new VD (either by import of create a new one )

I can modify an existing VD alright...

 

I'll leave it for the night and see if it sorts itself...

Your a very patient man @AutoFrank. I would suggest avoiding 4.120 if you can unitl they fix it. The 2 betas after it dont resolve the issues created in 4.120. SInce updating I have had many issues including the 503 error. This morning I got up to find that the Sunrise function is turning on 2 hours to soon. I would hate for you to corrupt your new device table and get the 503Error.

I have been running 4.12 for a while now with no issues and running very well since I rebuilt my system from scratch apart from the glitch yesterday.

I restored a backup from a few days ago last evening and added back in my sw changes and all ran well over night. 

I just have this odd thing with the vd creation which a reboot may fix
