I only one report from one customer about Fibaro RGBW, that not works for him, but we are getting sollution with Fibaro support assist. So i assume for others our dealers and customers they work.

Also those RGB (RGBW) Z-Wave devices may not work in Fibaro app (iOS version).

Thanks @jakub.jezek, is this for the Qubino or for the fibaro RGBW device ?

Have not tried the qubino... I don't need a controller right now, I already own 3 Fib. Care to elaborate why they make you "enter a world of pain"?

    Hi @petergebruers

    I have 2

#1 looked like it upgraded successfully a few weeks ago (more on that later)

#2 refused up updated in ts location despite me moving the HC2 with 2 inches of the device

The phantom menace came to a head yesterday so I removed the device and brought it closer to the HC2. I excluded it and tried to reinclude with no luck. I reset and tried this 4 or 5 times and it eventually half included which looked like a dimmer.

I gave up on #2 and decided to move #1 into #2 location which is where I need it and it worked.I checked the fw and it looked like it didnt upgrade a few weeks ago.

I then tried the fw upgrade and after 5 attempts it appears to have upgraded to 26.25 and hopefully the phantom menace has now gone

The other RGBW is now powered down and very close to the bin.

It was a huge effort just to get the one working and I'm not sure if I want the frustration with another one...

TBH - It seems to me that for,  whatever reason, trying to add the fibaro devices I bought 2 years ago is very difficult and in some cases impossible with the recent fw rev's

On this list now is 2 gen 1 door sensors, 3 UBS devices, one dual relay and now an RGBW module.

    It's getting very frustrating ....

I would like another RGBW strip and wanted to try another module to see if that was better

Did you try to do a soft reconfiguration before updating?

I found that that makes the process more graceful?

@jimicr I'm not sure it would make any difference if you included the device on the same version that you use to upgrade the device firmware because the device would have the latest template anyway. But I like the way you are thinking... it could work, certainly if you included the device on an older hc version... why not...

@AutoFrank I understand. I need some time. Two things that cross my mind: 2 cm is too close, 20-30 cm should be OK. Number 2: your network is too busy... maybe it's time to try the SDR?

    Thanks @petergebruers

No hurry, I won't throw it out just yet... just venting :?

I tried all distances from 1m to 2cm and anything farther than 15 cm seems unreliable

perhaps the network is too busy but the response time for most scenes and vd is well within exceptable limits

Will try the SDR in the next few days
