Question

Posted

I have been using HC2 since mid August.

Mainly to control a number of Heatit Z-Wave Thermostats (electric floor-heating).

Each room is assigned to different zones in the heating panel.

In the heating panel I have designed time schedules for each zone with different set temperatures depending on time of the day.

Lately (3 weeks ago) I have started to observe some very strange behavior.

The temperature is set at 18 degrees from 22:00 (10pm) to 05:00 (5am).

At 22:00 the temperature starts to fall (I track this using the consumption tab).

The temperature continues to fall until 0:00 exactly (midnight) when it bounces back up to 23 degrees.

It then maintains 23 degrees until next time the heating schedule shifts to a new set-temp (@11am)

Anyone that have experienced this problem? Thoughts and ideas highly appreciated!

Hi, can I guess that you have 23 degrees set for the following night?

I am guessing because I am experiencing this problem: I set
- 5 degrees between Monday 22.00 and Tuesday 7.am
- 19 degrees between Tuesday 22.00 and Wednesday 7am

This is reflected in the color bars (green/blue) but then HC2 switches on heating at 19 degrees in the night between Monday and Tuesday at midnight

I have opened a case to Fibaro already a month ago and they are still troubleshooting so if you have the same problem please report it to support

    Hi.

It seems like a related issue. But in my case, I have identical heating schedules for all days of the week. I will let Fibaro know.

same here, and if you only select heating from after 5am then all is fine~ at midnight is set before 5am will trigger at 0:00 to the temp which is set before 5am. I think its a bug

Thanks! So what you are saying is:

If there is a slider placed between 0:00 and 5am (e.g. at 4am) – the bug will set the 4am temp at midnight and not 4am?

This could actually be true in my case  – because I had the “morning set-temp” at 4:30am (not 5am as described above for simplicity)…

Got my system yesterday, and had some confusing trouble with the heating panel last night, set night temperature after 1am, but at it switched already at midnight, so good to see I`m not alone.

    Update 4.143 BETA

@NilsAsp, please, add a screen shot showing your heating schedule to the original post.

I assume that you linked the devices to the heating zones properly, didn't you?

The schedule works fine and the part that crosses days gives you the result, am I right?

my heat panel dont work, u can see correct value on thermostat, but see temperature. if i click manual 27c it will work. Now 30degrees my last manual value.

Heat panel only change temperature on gui, not send to thermostat.

I have the same problem. If I want to heat from 4:30 clock, it starts already 0:04 clock. If I heat from 5:00, it works.

I observed this when the outside temperature started to go negative and I changed the morning heating to start earlier than 5am. Last night, I changed all panels back to start the morning heating 5am - and it works as it should.

This bug is very inconvenient because it implies that one need to maintain a higher night temperature to get comfortable temperatures in the morning. I guess the work around is to use a scene to somehow trigger the

Do all of you use Heat-It thermostat?

Thanks for the feedback. I forwarded your findings for verification.

No, use ZXT-120 IR for AC. In Heating Panel, 18* set from 01:00, but now 00:00 it sends it.

@ryvaenge, but the thread concerns the heating panel not AC panel. Please, stick to the topic of the thread.

Reported issue concerns heating panel and the setting point of the temperature within which the day changes.

@kappe and @Hoschiknäcke can you tell me if you are using the same thermostat as @NilsAsp?

The issue has been reproduced and verified but the team. :)

This is HEATING PANEL, should I use AC panel for heating instead or are you just confused by my device name?
