Question

Posted (edited)

When trying to change Everspring SP814-1 motionsensor parameters, the values will not be stored.

I have seen this before in old firmware releases, but noticed it (again) when I re-added the sensor into the HC2.

I wanted to re-use it, and it was still laying in some drawer. Now I  know why.... ;)

EDIT: Parameter 2 can be set once to 0. This disables the PIR-function. When setting this to 1, it will not be written.

Enabled it again by soft-reconfigure the device.

EDIT2: Added device template:

Hello,

Does the module have a manual wake-up function?

All battery powered devices have to be waked up after any changes in parameters.

    Did that.

As you can see at the screenshot:

    Set parameter 2, value = 1

    Received parameter 2 report, value = 0

I own a HSP-02 and it is sitting in my drawer since... I think it is very similar to the SP814, about same age, same company. It has the same issue: when you send a parameter, it always reports the old value. I think it never worked on FW 4.X. I tried to use the device on default settings, it does work, but for some reason I was not happy so I gave up.

You'r right @petergebruers, it is a really, really, really old bug. Reported at first in 2013 HC version 3 and later on in the early version 4.

I re-used the device because it was laying in my drawer also. Because the device values can't be written you can't change the PIR sensitivity, which is low by default.

So Fibaro can you definitely fix this after 5 years?

@Fibaro (moderator) can you move this topic to Other Devices / Third-party devices?

It is not a solely 4.150 issue.

    Thanks!
