GPS Tracking HC2 and iOS App question to Fibaro developers.

Hello,

 

i red about this function in many places in this forum. I also used google. 

It looks like there is a lot of issues in HC2 for gps tracking 

 

i got 2 users and one super user. Even I make block scenes as explained I can’t trigger scene by tracking of gps location.

family panel did not show up even I activated tracking on all devices within 1 min.

if I trigger scene manually it works. 

I see on android Fibaro app u can do adjustment of tracking range by gps location. This function is not on the iPhone app. Can Fibaro fix this? Do improvements on HC2 for get a better gos tracking function?

OK...

I did something interesting...

Have connected new phone to fibaro application and the hasGPS was false till I did as follow:

1. While running fibaro app. have verified that I can see the user on HC2 as connected now

2. Opened Access Control (on HC2) and have change the tracking frequency , few seconds after that the hasGPS field become true.

 

Don't now if it somehow related to your problem, but please try to do the same.

change GPS position : frequency while you can see that the user is online

I tried that now on all devices. No luck. I even created a new block scene with gps just to confirm user id and location of my home, by creating a new scene i saw in lua code that fibaro is getting my location wrong only first two number 68;15 .

Seriously i strongly reconsider that i bought HC 2 i guess i will wipe everything and change to Homey..... Fibaro is also not able to solve my GPS Issue they dont even look into it. U can not call Fibaro smarthome when u are not able to get gps or got possiblilty to use wifi connection by arriving home. Electrician at my work got Homey and it looks much moore promising even more frenquently update and better support..... I like fibaro very much and the products are good.

Regarding two numbers, HC2 keeps few location parameters, one of them is only with two numbers .

please see http://hc2/api/settings/location

Is everything looks OK there..? I mean location, time and etc?

Is the phone enabled?

Is lastLoggedUser  is correct?

just wondering why I got separate ID for phone and another for same user only e mail address.

Hi Guys, just to keep you updated>>> I am lost!

1st- Our phones does not show the whole menu as shown in your picture

2nd Samsung is surprised that both our phones are different, if they are surprised I even more lost hahaha

3rd-I need some more time because my network needed some days to repair to get it stabil again and to extend with a bridged router or a switch because that router is very stuborn I cant get it connect.

4th- received some devices today to add to HC2 to please my miss

5th- a small disaster in one of the gabinets a shelve came down

6th my chair broke result in pain in my neck

7th I am curious what Murphy will bring the next few days

On he last snap shot (phone device) in action section (it's hidden on picture) is lastLoggedUser  correct? I mean you do have the user ID there?

In Fibaro acording what you adviced.

In my phone )IOS) in location I do not see Fibaro?

In docs it show at home "false"( as I write this I am at home with my ohone besides me)

yes the id is right. as u see on the picture

and the gps on the phone works without any issue on other aplications / APPS

Just to keep u updated.

i use ifttt now and this works I can trigger scenes now based on my location by my phone. 

This shows that home center 2 or fibaro app has a minor issue. Support if fibaro recommended ifttt instead of coming with a statement why gps inside home center is not working. But I’m happy that ifttt works.

What is the timing that IFTTT quotes for your location-based applets? Mine says 'this applet usually runs within an hour'.

When I parked in front of house i got a message from fibaro that i arrived home. I have it for one day running now I can keep u updated how accurate it is.

I had a similar setup a year ago. Got excited at first... then gates opened a couple of times when there was no one at home due to delayed run of the IFTTT applet....

Maybe the app got improvements   I see there are a lot of possibilities by controlling the home with this app. Strange that fibaro do not got the option when u enter home Sonos is playing.
