GPS Tracking HC2 and iOS App question to Fibaro developers.

Question

Posted (edited)

Hello,

i red about this function in many places in this forum. I also used google.

It looks like there is a lot of issues in HC2 for gps tracking

i got 2 users and one super user. Even I make block scenes as explained I can’t trigger scene by tracking of gps location.

family panel did not show up even I activated tracking on all devices within 1 min.

if I trigger scene manually it works.

I see on android Fibaro app u can do adjustment of tracking range by gps location. This function is not on the iPhone app. Can Fibaro fix this? Do improvements on HC2 for get a better gos tracking function?

@AR27690  sure i will share with you guys...

Any updates?

In addition few hours ago, my system was "bombarded" by few users location data.

To my opinion Fibaro team did some kind of update on GPS location engine.

Now looks like the location more responsive than before.... which is a good news, I think.

Saw this also. Don't know if the GPS process is better now, but we'll see that in the future.

Still Nothing.

the last email was,  before beta,  like this :

" Hello,

I am sorry to say that the issue has not yet been resolved.

We are awaiting a global issue that will arrive in one of the next upgrades.

I apologize for the inconvenience "

Totally strange... it works for me for years (with some delays, but works)

If you're interesting, then let's try it one time more... what kind of phone have your users (Android or iPhone).

I will post all my settings at phone and HC2 that you could compare with...

I have tried a lot of things but I could not let it work regretley, today I ordered some push button?light to acoplish presence. This is certainly not what I want, but I have to do something to avoid false alarm.

Thnaks in advance for your cooperation.

For me home automation is not equal with push a button to let HC2 know where I am. To buy a Nuki goes one step to far. hahaha (perhaps I must find some very good arguments to get it of the the do list)

    @Alex Rob

OK here all that I could think of (Android s9)

    in HC2

Make sure your mobile device is in mobile devices list ( in Configuration/Access control)

No, you don't need to checkbox, it for push notification

What about your localization settings? Is it set to your home location?

As u see all is right by location.

I bought HC2 since version 4.51. Since I got it it never worked. Don’t looks like that Fibaro want to help with my issue contacted several times the support with no luck. So I bet I just need to see this case lost and malfunction.
