Two gateways in different locations connected via a mobile app - geofencing
Acce posted a question in FIBARO Mobile
I have two gateways in different locations. Everything works fine except the limitation to be connected only to one gateway via a mobile app (Fibaro Home Center) at the time. But I can live with that, swapping gateways manually. But problem is to use geofencing like a home/away trigger. It works only for the gateway which is at the moment connected to the mobile app. In practice, this means that approaching location A, to be connected by the app to the gateway in location B, geofencing is not working. It is annoying to keep in mind to swap gateways manually approaching the location. This is not automation at all. Is there any way how to swap automatically the gateway connected to the mobile app according to the location?- 3 replies

Geofence looks broken - events as scene triggers [HC2]
kevgeniy posted a question in Scenes and Interface
Hello! I have HC2 v4.590 and suffer over the user arrive and leave scenes which allow to determine home area entering or leaving by event GeofenceEvent. This event never triggers. Tried to leave and enter home perimeter which set in Localization panel for that location many times. So I've added "Location" property scene trigger. Of course, I have Fibaro app 1.27.0.0 installed and running on my Samsung S9+ (Android 10), all requested app permissions are given, phone ID in Lua scene is correct and location ID is correct too - checked many times. Could anybody tell me what's wrong? Scene code is: --[[ %% properties 2 Location %% events 379 GeofenceEvent 4 %% globals --]] local adminUserId = 2; local homeLocation = "XX.ZZZZZZ;YY.NNNNNN"; local startSource = fibaro:getSourceTrigger(); local userAdminPosition = fibaro:getValue(adminUserId, "Location"); local userAdminDistance = tonumber(fibaro:calculateDistance(userAdminPosition, homeLocation)); local isUserAdminHome = fibaro:getGlobalValue("UserAdminAtHome"); local homePerimeter = tonumber(fibaro:getGlobalValue("HomePerimeter")); fibaro:debug(json.encode(startSource)); fibaro:debug("---------------------------------------------------------------"); fibaro:debug(os.date("%a, %d.%m") .. " - " .. tostring(math.floor(userAdminDistance)) .. " m (perimeter " .. homePerimeter .. " m), Admin @home - ".. isUserAdminHome); fibaro:debug("=============================================="); if ( ( (userAdminDistance <= homePerimeter or (startSource["type"] == "event" and startSource.event["type"] == "GeofenceEvent" and startSource.event.data["geofenceAction"] == "enter") ) and isUserAdminHome == "no" ) or startSource["type"] == "other" ) then fibaro:startScene(231); -- run Admin Home scene end Outcoming log is: -
I am quite new to Fibaro HC2, but I have been very much surprised of the "automatics" behind the scenes (f.i. energy measurements, graphs and history). Now I am trying to figure out how the users-in-the-house variable on the tablet app can be showing the actual number of users in the house. Anyone has a solution / thoughts ?

Using Android Fibaro app v.126 - Samsung S9+ android 9, HC2 v4.550 User location/GPS has never worked since I got my HC2 around 9 months ago. A few times support have told me that it's a "known issue", most recently they are no longer say this, but neither can they find a solution - perhaps you can? I have enabled location permission for the app, set location accuracy to 15m (I have tried other values). On the HC2 I have set the system location, and in access control set GPS frequency to 1 min (I've also tried 5mins, 10 mins). Despite having everything set correctly (I think!), it still has never updated GPS location. This is the detail for superuser account which shows last location time in 2012 and Fibaro office in Poland (I'm in the UK): {"id":2,"name":"tom@xxxxxx","roomID":0,"type":"HC_user","baseType":"com.fibaro.voipUser","enabled":true,"visible":true,"isPlugin":false,"parentId":0,"remoteGatewayId":0,"interfaces":["voip"],"properties":{"Email":"tom@xxxxxx","HotelModeRoom":"0","LastPwdChange":"1559613890","Latitude":"52.43","Location":"52.4320294933;16.8449900900","LocationTime":"2012-12-06 12:15","LocationTimestamp":"1354792521","Longitude":"16.84","PreviousLatitude":"52.43","PreviousLocation":"52.4320252015;16.8449947542","PreviousLocationTime":"2012-12-06 12:14","PreviousLocationTimestamp":"1354792461","PreviousLongitude":"16.84","SendNotifications":"true","TrackUser":"1","UserType":"superuser","atHome":"false","deviceIcon":"91","fidUuid":"xxxxxxx","firmwareUpdateLevel":"0","initialWizard":"false","saveLogs":"1","sipDisplayName":"_","sipUserID":"1","sipUserPassword":"","useOptionalArmPin":"false","usePin":"false"},"actions":{"sendEmail":2,"sendPush":1,"setSipDisplayName":1,"setSipUserID":1,"setSipUserPassword":1},"created":1566743485,"modified":1566743485,"sortOrder":2} { "id": 2, "name": "tom@xxxxxx, "type": "superuser", "email": "tom@xxxxxx", "hasGPS": false, "deviceRights": [], "sceneRights": [], "heatingZoneRights": [], "hotelRoom": 0, "sendNotifications": true, "tracking": 1, "atHome": false, "useOptionalArmPin": false, "initialWizard": false } I have also tested with a new (non-superuser) account, but still no joy. I notice that the app always has "Welcome Home" even when a long distance from home! Any ideas how to get GPS / geolocation working? Thanks!

Hello, I have been using Find My Friends for the iPhone to detect whether my wife or I were at home. When the iPhone determines that it has left or arrived at a location (home) it sends an email to a known email address. My home server checks this email address and when it sees an email with the subject line stating I have left home, it sets a global variable to Away, and on return, it sets it to Home. Quite simple. It has been running for over twelve months and it recently occurred to me that others could use this. However, I realise not everyone has the right type of computer or has one available or doesn't want to have one constantly running. So I took it upon myself to build one 'in the cloud'. So, I am in the process of creating this service so that people can use it to check their own email account, and when specific email subject lines appear in their email account, the Home Center can react accordingly, and all by using REST based calls and a LUA scene. This also means that this same service could be used for other purposes such as reacting to IFTTT notifications, and probably more. I titled this as 'Help wanted', because I am looking to open this up to a few beta testers to help me test the service out and maybe one day turn it into a product, who knows? So, if your willing to give me a hand, then could you send me an email to [email protected] requesting a beta test and say you saw it on this forum. Thanking you Ian
