I don't understand, do you connected?

    What doesn't work?

Any user (which is defined in HC2) can be connected locally.

What do you mean by that?

Are you able to see rooms and devices while connected locally? - Of course, i see everything in the app.

What do you mean by that? - The app uses my location. But don't send to the HC2.

Do you see any location updates in /api/devices/2 - I can't see now, because i'am working. This page,i can see only in the local network. I will see tomorrow.

Now I'm confused... you're not at home (I mean you're not in your home local network area) and you able to see everything in the app while connected to local IP Address?

Since you should be connected to local area, no location updates could be sent to HC2.

As a first step to verify GPS is working, we trying to verify if you receive location while inside you LAN.

It's OK, if you're outside of LAN, no updates should happen...

The another iPhone is on the local network now. I did the settings while i am home.

I believe location permission on your iPhone set correctly for the app.

Now let's try to connect through WAN.

Forward some port for app on router.

    Go to port  forwarding:

Enter external port: (let's say 8080)

Select protocol: if you have option to select BOTH, if not select TCP-IP

    Internal port 80

    IP-Address: HC2 local IP-address

    Save configuration.

Now go to browser and type MY IP. You shold receieve your Public IP address. (Hope it doesn't change frequently or may be you have fixed IP)

Now go to mobile app and configure new HC address (<public IP>:8080)

    On iPhone turn off WiFi.

Verify that everything works on app.

Now go to outside (to change location) to check if new location has received.

So when you set HC IP in app. to 192.168.0.101:8080 it doesn't work?

    Posted

No. but I am set my public ip:8080. That’s wrong? Now I change the 192.168.0.101:8080 and wait.

Yes, if you don't have fixed IP option it changes quite frequently...

But we just need to verify that GPS works on local connection, that's all.

If it works then we can ask fibaro support to help with Fibaro ID connection
