So. My keyfob problem has solved, but the GPS not.

I think i tried everything, but something wrong. Have you got some idea? This is very confusing.

I think the router settings is the problem.

    No... don't use local IP.

You need to use public IP only with port 8080.

I hope location permission is granted on your phone for fibaro app

Now you need somehow to change your location... due to coronavirus it's not so simple...

The app allways using the phone location. This settings i did 2 days ago, and i was working. The location not changed. And there's a weird thing: "city": "Poznan"

My city is Hatvan in Hungary.

Yes... this is the default city (Fibaro headquarters in Poland).

But this location you need to change in HC2, and it doesn't related to location problem from mobile app.

You should receive location updates from the phone.

It should be seen in /api/devices/<usedid>

By the way can you set you correct location in HC2?

May be this is the problem, that something wrong inside HC2 !?

Do you able to send email from you HC2?

Have found interesting behavior, suddenly GPS doesn't work and no email sent from HC2 ( for last two days).

Have rebooted the HC2 and everything back to normal and work fine.

No idea what the root cause of that, but looks like something corrupts these features. Maybe some user's code does that.

Will try to monitor what it is.

Hi, I was following this topic, seems that GPS position isn't passed through, only when I refresh networkdata in the old fibaro app.

Refresh in the background is active as is gps position on my iPhone, still no location passed to the HC2 automatically.

I did a reboot, but not off/on reboot, will try that today

Honestly I don't understand this behavior... everything works fine for me for years... I have 4 android and 3 iPhone mobiles connected and work very well.

Why some users don't have same functionality, is a mystery to me.

    What we're missing ?

Hi! I don't know what I am doing wrong... I just followed all the steps from this post, but still the location is not working:

Here is the /api/devices response. (As you can see, there is not location sent..)

Please login or register to see this code.

-From the Home Center the GPS Frequency is set to 1 Minute.

-In the app Fibaro HC2 all the permissions including location are given.

-I have configure the app to enter Home Center direct through the public IP

Any Idea what I am missing?

    Thanks in advance!

I can think about two options:

    1. Is your mobile app has all required location permissions on your phone  and not blocked while inactive?

    2. Do you have an access to your HC2 through

Please login or register to see this link.

    using Fibaro ID?

    Thanks for your answer.

    1. Yes, the mobile app has all required permissions and it is also not blocked while inactive. I have also tested in other mobile phones, but with the same result..

    2. I don't really understand, what you mean... Right now I am accessing from the app HC2 to my Home Center Lite, with my public IP. I open a port in my router to get direct access. Is that what you are asking?

    Thanks in advance

    No,

I think Fibaro's remote server plays part of GPS location. So the question if you have an access to HC2 via fibaro remote access?

    Posted

Sorry for the question...,  but how can I check if I have an access to HC2 via fibaro remote access? And in case I have no access, how can I fix it?

    Thanks again for your time!

I'm confused... how you access your HC2 from outside of your local area? I don't mean by mobile app.

    Anyhow see below
