Standalone Firmware Update Tool
robmac posted a topic in SuggestionsMany thousands of Fibaro devices have been bought by non HCX users yet there is no way to update the devices to the latest firmware to fix bugs in the purchased products. The feature is advertised as a feature of the product and part of the certification but is not available to the majority of purchasers. Please could Fibaro provide a way to deliver firmware to modules that does not require a Fibaro controller.
Best way to include already installed modules
Alex posted a question in Home Center 2Imagine you have set up a house with hundred modules and one HC2 over the last year. About two third of your modules are clued/sticked to their place (like most of the door/window sensors that are available). To exclude/include them to your controller they must be in direct close range to it. So you will have to remove them from their place by destroying the clue most likely. Is there any better and easier way to reinclude these devices without buying 100m power cable and 100m network cable moving the HC2 controller from module to module? Is it possible to use another modules with controller capabilities that is battery operated to do the ex/-include job? Once I had to reinclude some window door sensors and I have hated it to detach them from their position and reattach them. In some cases they did not stick as well as before and tamper alarm went on or the sensor did not show the right status after a couple of days.
Hi everyone I want to start a complaint about the Qubino flush relay's still not supported by Fibaro. Still templates are not available for these modules. I do not know why Fibaro still are not supporting these modules but to my opninion they should starting supporting these by now. Especially keeping in mind all other brands are supported much better. I did sent templates to Fibaro several times. A lot of customer have these units, probably because they support energy metering. So Fibaro, what's goinig on here? Please reply so we have as many as qustumers possible to put some pressure in Fibaro!
Lost devices and scenes with firmware upgrade to 4.082
kroeatschge posted a topic in Home Automationhi guys, yesterday I wanted to upgrad from 4.080 to 4.082. After the upgrade finished, I had only 5 devices left of my previous 43 devices. I tried to load the backup, that was automatically created. Same result 5 devices only. I then went back to 4.080 with recovery mode. Loaded the backup and again 5 devices only. If I go back further, where I had 31 devices only, everything is restored as expected. But ofcourse not all devices are there then. When the restore of the 43 devices Backup finishes, i can see breefly a message telling somithing like: finished removing dead devices ... Now my question, how can I get my devices back without having to: exclude them from the z-wave pull them out from wall-covers all over the house move them close to the main controller to include them again move them back to their places across the house correct all the IDs in my szenes find a solution to prevent this happening again I'm happy for any help/hints to get things up and running again. Thank you, kro
