New Fibaro Motion/Multi Sensor - when will it be available?

Setting parameter 20 to 0 didn't help, also the trick of Kuuno didn't changed anything. Still breached forever and never updates the LUX and TEMP (only if i do a reconfigure device it will update once).

when you bring the sensor back to your controller does it work?

Same issue here. Ordered three motion sensors. One of them reported back breach once, then wouldn't report motion back to the controller again. LUX and Temp did report back. Excluded, reset and re-included next to the HC2 and the same thing again. Returned for a replacement. Other two are working well. Looks like Fibaro have a bad batch.

I have them too, the only thing that i miss now is the option to not trigger an association during daytime (when there is enough light) but does trigger motion detection. This allows for turning of lights (if they where on manually) and also indicates that the room is "in use" for other purposes.

I have been running sample fibaro for a couple of months and they are good.

The lux is precise and is not incorrect but is more a reading of what the sensor is pointing at than an average reading for the room. You just need to adjust parameter 40 for change of lux to report to suite your location.

For a bright location like a conservatory or pointing towards a window default or higher. For a top corner pointing down to the floor away from windows a lot lower.

I tested one in a dark storage room with a small window and needed to set the parameter to 10 to get the lux reading working and triggering the light on movement only when dark through a lua scene. If you set this value in a bright room you would get a report every few seconds on a day with sunny intervals so not a good idea.

Please, share your lua scene, i really need the lux reading and triggering the light on movement.

PS: I really like the Fibaro motion sensors

I put a sensor test with HCLite.

The first day everything ok, now it seems to work just the motion sensor.

I have also tried to change the parameters 40 and 64 HCLite but can not change them, I approached the sensor HCLite, but this does not change anything

Open your sensor and press button three times it needs to be woken up to save settings... Failing that hold the button in and release after a few seconds and check ZWave range! Failing that grab a seven iron and launch it over your fence as it does resemble a golf ball

oke, I have been playing around a little now for a few days. And I have to say that I really like them! Don't really understand the accelerometer in there but oke.

Now I am trying to get a few light settings to work.

Motion sensor 1:

during day: on. Done through motion

During evening on: on. Done through motion

During night: on. Done with motion, but with scene that when triggered and variable is sleeping, then it sets the light to 40%. works perfect.

now the challange:

motion sensor 2:

during day: I want it OFF

During evening: I want it ON

During night: I want it to stay OFF

How do I do this, in a clean way?

I love the function to only send OFF command!

Now do it with a scene. that sets the light on when it is evening (I have a variable for each part of the day). and just use the off command to always switch it off when not present. So only one scene needed instead of two!

One of my two sensors when "dead node" the first night and now it's impossible to get it to wake up. I've tried the triple press. It was working ok yesterday.

Any suggestions?

It didn't help. The led lights up blue, but still no parameters are transfered. Also, the device now blinks yellow/green every 15 seconds.

Ok, managed to get into the sensor test mode and it's a solid red (no connection) so this is going back.

Dear Fibaro, do you do ANY production tests at all. 50% return rate could be costly for you.

Andrew, I noticed from a scene that when the a light is being turned on by the motion sensor, that it triggers it several times. That means quite some network data... Can this be a bug in the firmware of the sensor?

stevenvd, sensor soft is ok it is more to hc2 because it should trigger only on change from different value not that same

I'm considering to buy and try this new sensor but i'm wondering what about the battery life.

Since the sensor has so many functions and changing lights i'm very curious ?

I bought two sensors, work fine except the status on Ipad and Iphone is not shown correct. On the web interface it is correct. On the Ipad and Iphone log is also correct it shows breached and safe, however on the device the status is incorrect and it doesn't show the time after breaching or safe as well. I noticed it is mentioned here in this topic as well. Can it be fixed or do we have to wait for a new Ipad and Iphone software update.

Hi,

it seems like the Fibaro motion sensor does not update the "lastBreached" property with a time stamp. The Aeon multisensor do this and I rely on that property in some of my scripts.

Is that something that will be fixed? (I'm running 3.591)
