List of Zigbee devices - users for users

Question

Posted

Dear users,

We know that you are eager to share your thoughts regarding all Zigbee devices that you have. With so many Zigbee devices available on the market it would extremely difficult to prepare a complete list of supported Zigbee devices which would  include useful remarks.

For this reason we would like to encourage you to share your thoughts with other community members - let's make this a list of tested Zigbee devices created by users for users.

As correctly pointed out by @petergebruers (kudos to you) "A nice list for Zigbee2MQTT already exists, complete with picture, reset procedure(s) and quirks:

Please login or register to see this link.

So we can add one of those 2149 devices to our HC3, test its behaviour and report back with a link to the EXACT same device.

It is important to link to the exact same devices as the one you tested because there are many lookalikes..."

Regards

You triggered my interest in this a few days ago too. But I couldnt get any more info :(

It seems to work with the /set commands. But we dont get any data back on the /get Commands.

I would also like to get a valve like you have with flow meter and more.
I would also like to have a soil moisture sensor working :D
But we could only hope Fibaro make some improvements on the zigbee engine integration...
Atleast let use get GET and SET commands, so we could build quickapps/templates for Zigbee devices ourself 🤔

It is a great piece of hardware and it would be great if more of the functions could be made use of in the Home Center 3. Most unfortunate: it switches itsself off after 30 minutes automatically. My family hates this because now they always have to use the mobile to get the water running in the garden ... :(. However, I am not aware of an adequate alternative to the Sonoff Water Valve.

Does it turn itself off every 30min because of settings that cant be changed? but it is recognised as a switch/valve?🤔

And they have looked into exposing more zigbee stuff:

It has numerous further functions that are not accessible within Yubii Home Center 3, e.g. also measurement of water usage.

If you realy want it all for now, I guess you could get a home assitant green and the Home assistant zigbee usb stick.
And use jgabs hass integration to get the device into hc3 :)

seems to be working, both sensor reporting data properly (fw 5.180.17)

No way to run calibration from Fibaro, but that's different story.

I have a question for the administrators of this forum. When will you start supporting Zigbee more extensively in Fibaro? As you can see, the interest is very high. I understand that these are third-party companies, but not all of your devices have the functionality that some third-party products offer. Maybe it's time to do something about it?

Honestly, I don’t expect them to do anything about it. From what I can see, most people on the market are moving away from Fibaro and switching to other technologies. I’m waiting for now.

"The Aqara – W500 Smart Floor Heating Thermostat does not integrate correctly into the HC3. It appears as an on/off switch, a temperature sensor, and a humidity sensor.

However, the on/off function does not work; it only displays the current status and energy consumption (watts).

No data is being received by the temperature sensor, whereas the humidity sensor works as intended."

Hi MacinZ,

I've bought 2 of these hoping they'd work - however after switching protocols, they are not found in my HC3. Hope you can let me know what you did to succesfully include them!

THanks!

Hi, nothing. It could be an issue with the current firmware version.

Hi all, this thread is my last resort for home center 3 compatible modules. Thanks a lot for sharing! I'm looking for a gang four button Scene Controller, preferred battery operated.

Any positive experience?

Thanks for sharing!

Also, to make a change and wake people at Nice, I sent their CEO Scott Russell a message via Linkedin, asking to support third party modules for Home Center 3.

Please login or register to see this link.

Thanks for supporting me and send him a personal message as well.

Please avoid Tuya Scene Controllers - not supported

IKEA TRÅDFRI Shortcut Button (E1812) - only one button

  • Works extremely well with HC3. Generates clean scene events:
  • single press
  • long press
  • release

IKEA TRÅDFRI 5‑Button Remote (E1810) - a little bit bigger that others

  • This is one of the best Zigbee remotes for HC3.
  • Supported actions:
  • center button
  • up/down
  • left/right
  • long press
  • release

Philips Hue Tap Dial Switch

  • Works with HC3, including:
  • 4 buttons
  • dial rotation events

Philips Hue 4‑Button Remote

  • Works with HC3, including:
  • 4 buttons
