Netatmo Weather Station QA standalone v2.1

 

INTRODUCTION

Netatmo Weather station QA brings complete integration of Netatmo weather station to HC3, HC3Lite and Yubii Home users including rain and wind gauges and support for more than one station.

 

PREREQUISITES

  • Fibaro HC3, HC3Lite or Yubii Home with firmware 5.150 or greater

  • One or more Netatmo Weather station

 

FEATURES

  • QA type is now weather provider and can be selected to update Fibaro Home Center weather

  • Complete integration of Netatmo weather station with HC3, HC3Lite and Yubii Home including rain gauge and anemometer

  • Only one QA is needed for any number of Netatmo Weather stations and their included modules.

  • Support for Netatmo weather station main module without outdoor module included

  • Support for maximum 3 additional indoor modules per station

  • Smart update system that follows Netatmo weather station cloud updates

  • Netatmo weather station measurements are shown on child devices added for each measurement of all stations and their modules found

  • QA has built in multi-language support with 32 languages included. QA can use HC selected language or user can select any other available language.

INSTALLATION & UPGRADE

IMPORTANT NOTE - Due to upload file type restrictions imposed by Fibaro for Quick Apps, after downloading file with FQA extension, change this extension to ZIP and then unzip package. In this ZIP package you will find PDF User manual, Netatmo Weather Station QA v2.1 Standalone.fqax and folder with icons. Please follow User manual for installation & upgrade. I hope that Fibaro will remove this limitation in near future since there is no such limitation on Fibaro Marketplace and even here for Virtual Devices.

NOTE - I know that some users will not like that this QA is encrypted. Since license is now changed to donationware, I can send original code or even unencrypted QA, but only to users that will donate. Thank you for understanding!

Released

Version 2.1 changes:

  • updated Netatmo server domain to api.netatmo.com since old one will be removed

 

How to upgrade

  • since encrypted QA can't be updated, old version needs to be deleted and new installed. Note that child devices will also be deleted and must be re-added.

Thanks for publishing this QA. It's working perfect. I check wind module, indoor and outdoor. Huge work 💪
 

Side questions -> do you saw anywhere that anyone was trying to integrate Netatmo Valve + termostat with Fibaro? That, camera + doorbell are missing pieces to cover whole Netatmo ecosystem in Fibaro.

I'm working on those integrations. Hope to have something usable in about two months time. Follow me here on forum and you will know as soon as I publish them.

Dear @Sankotronic,

I am using your Netatmo  QA V2.00 with great result.

My I suggest that you add one icon to your QA similar to the one attached for using it as the icon of the main QA when it is no more connected to Netatmo server?

I did added this to the previous QA I was using from gsmart as deconnection were very frequent and its children didn't show the not connected state.

I tried add this QA but during installation i got this error. Do you have any ideas ?

Hi @Christb,

 

Since Netatmo Weather station main QA is set to "disconnected" and has red disconnected plug over the icon I thought that error icons is not necessary and eliminate it to make installation a bit faster. To have error icon I will need also to modify code.

 

Hi @Artwal,

 

Error 500 that you have has nothing to do with Netatmo Weater station QA, but with the way you are adding it. Are you adding it connected remotely? Maybe it is time to clean your browser cache that can also cause this problem. Also, are you logged to the HC3 as Admin or normal user? etc. etc.
