Hi @Jeffsgb,

I have two Foscam PTZ FI9828P cameras and FN3104H VDR and this is compatible with Fibaro. I use virtual device to control them on my HC2. I don't have HCL but I believe that  basic movement control can be achieved with VD and strings. These are outdoor cameras and can be connected over WiFi or UTP network cable. They also have audio, but I didn't connect and don't know how.

Axis M3025-VE
Axis M3026-VE

These are outdoor cameras. Both work with default Axis Camera plugin and no special config.

Camera also has a nice API to code against from Fibaro HC. For example only record video when motion is seen AND alarm is armed.

Hi, maybe it’s been already discussed somewhere, but there is one way how to use non mjpeg camera within HC2. At least it works for me. You can use still picture camera link (jpg) also for mjpeg link and use picture refresh rate to 1sec. I know it is a workaround, but for overview what is happening 1 sec refresh rate is OK. I have 20USD IP cam with PTZ integrated this way.

Hi Marcnin.  Did you integrate your Netatmo Welcome camera?  I am interested in buying one.  I have seen sites that have integrated status indicators with HC2.

@damo78 @merylion Did you have any success getting the Netatmo welcome camera integrated with the HC2?

    Just to inform:

DO NOT WASTE your time trying to setup the FOSCAM FI9928P!

( At least not in HCL)

Reason: This camera does NOT support the required sub stream!

The specifications of the FI9928P say, it is streaming in H264 format (not mentioning anything about MJPEG!!)

Which makes sense because,  the MJPEG stream bandwidth would be pretty high.

Mainly ALL HD cameras will stream in H264 or even better in H265 to reduce bandwidth.

But this requires some serious decoding power on the viewing end.

...unfortunately the HCL and others only are running cpu's, which do not provide the computing power to decode (multiple) HD streams in real time!!

and therefore HCL is not supporting those streams - I assume.

I therefore switched to watch the video streams outside the Fibaro APP using TinyCam Monitor for example.

    Thanks & best regards

    Jurgen

Dahua IP cameras are NOT supported anymore.

In fact, most IP cameras with latest firmware will stop working very soon.

    Here's why:

    - Recent vulnerabilities have forced manufacturers to REMOVE basic authentication.

    - Digest authentication has become the LOWEST security mechanism - its one step above plain text authentication (visible in packet capture).

    - In Dahua firmware from early 2017, basic authentication is blocked.

    - Dahua has BLOCKED the ability to downgrade to firmware with basic authentication (firmware is signed).

Fibaro MUST add digest authentication for IP cams to keep us at the current level.

    Hi All,

thats acutally my first post in this forum :)

Just wanted to share my experience. I'm running a Trendnet tv-ip315pi - with the equivalent HikVision Firmware. Trendnet is not that costly as HikVision is.

Streams in HC2 work fine with

    Camera Model: other

    /Streaming/channels/1/picture  - for JPG

    /Streaming/channels/1/httpPreview - for MJPEG

    Cheers

    M.

    any update with this?

we have been waiting for YEARS for any decent update for standard cameras, H.264,  RSTP... We don't want more workarounds.

What Fibaro says? Why is not updating this simple thing?

    Thanks

    Phylink PLC-129PW

Please login or register to see this link.

JPEG snapshots work with this path:

    live/0/jpeg.jpg

MPEG streaming doesn't work with this path:

    live/0/mpeg.jpg

...but both do work with the Synology Surveillance station
