  1. Hello, I would like to set different temperatures at Fibaro heat controller depend on actual chosen profile. When I try to set it at profiles configuration page I don't see any device (see the picture bellow). How can I set the different values for devices depend on chosen profile? Is there any other way to do this? Many thanks
  2. Hi, I have 142 HCL's in my project and 142 Echo dots 3, with 16 devices and 59 scenes. Some I managed to find all devices and scenes perfectly, but I'm having trouble in the vast majority. The HCL that worked is exactly the same as the HCL that doesn't work, I've seen that this is an old and recurring problem, my project can stop due to this. Has anyone managed to resolve this? Thanks
  3. Hello everyone, I have just integrated several Simon iO actuators with HC3 and there is an issue with the devices' state which does not change properly neither in the web interface nor Yubii app. This happens for the following actuators: - Simon 100 iO Roller Shutters - Simon 100 iO Dimmers The update of device's state is not automatically reported to web interface/app when pressing manually the roller shutter switch or dimmer. The same happens when the device's control is coming from the app/web interface. For example, you set the shutter to be closed (0%) but the state in the app/web interface still shows opened (100%). I am using Z-Wave 3.0 and the HC3 firmware version is 5.080.20. I tried to force this communication between the devices and the HC3 through associations but with the same result. Apart from this, there are no templates for the Simon 100 iO devices and I can not add/modify any parameter in the web interface (don't have the option in parameters) or poll them. For example, I can not set a basic_report command to the controller when the devices change their states in order to force their updates in the system. Is this due to Z-Wave 3.0 and a HC3 firmware update which has not come yet? Has anybody any suggestions? Thank you in advance. Regards
  4. Hi Can someone help me please . I just want to find out whether eon devices is turned on or not. --"type":"com.fibaro.FGRM222" ----------------------------------------------------------------------- local response ,status, error = api.get("/devices/72"); jsonTable = json.encode(response); devices = jsonTable fibaro:debug(devices) ----------------------------------------------------------------------- for k, v in pairs(jsonTable) do result = v.enabled end result = result fibaro:debug(result)
  5. Some of my devices are randomly becoming dead nodes and will not communicate. I have tried reconfiguring the z-wave network for neighbors but no luck. Any suggestions? I am on HC2 running the latest software update (it happened before I updated to the latest update)
  6. How do you group Virtual Devises (LIFIX Lights) together to appear as one device could not find that functionality thanks in advance sorry very new to HC2
  7. hi, This tutorial is based on an idea that i believe originated to @cag014 some time back and has been adopted by many. So well deserved kudos to @cag014 and others that helped originate and develop the concept. I am merely a scribe that has benefited from this. I decided to write a quick tutorial for two reasons... I implemented this over christmas and and found it very useful and much easier than I thought It would appear that we have some new forum members that got HC2 devices from Santa The core of this approach is to store all the reference ID's to your devices, virtual devices, scenes, etc in a json encoded table. The references like jT.kitchen.light are used in the scene or vd and device ID can easily be changed in the table. One important benefit is that it you need to exclude/include a device the device ID will change. With this approach you simple change the reference in the Home table and your done. Without this approach you wll need to go through your code and change the device ID where appropriate. ** This doesn't get over the need to enter ID as triggers in the scene headers as fibaro doesn't allow variable in the header ** The solution has two parts to it. The home table itself where the data is stored. - this is held in a predefined variable (lower part of variables panel) The references in your scenes and virtual devices use this table HOME TABLE This can be created and maintained through either a scene or a virtual device. I chose a VD but there is no advantage I can thing of using one way or the other. Go to Panel, Variables Panel and create a new predefined variable (lower part of panel) called HomeTable. When you create a predefined variable it has two values. Name the variable and save. Edit the variable and simply delete the second value. Using either a scene or a vd create your table and store it. This is lua from my VD. I create one button and enter the code below. The top part shows the format of the table. I opted to place each element I am looking to store into rooms and/or other natural groupings but you can choose any way to structure. I'll attached a copy of my full table at the end of this to show what I use it for. The next part encodes and stores the data The last part is where I read back one entry to show the table stored okay. -- HOME TABLE FOR ALL DEVICES, SCENES ETC. jsonHome = { hall = { Lights=88,Lamp=1421,Temp=1,Motion=1,Humidity=1,Lux=1,ZRC90=1447,SmallBathLight=147,SmallBathMotion=1, SmallBathTemp=1,SmallBathLux=1,TTS_message="",TTS_volume=10,RadFav=3,IsPlaying=1,nowPlaying="",vol=1,clip="" }, kitchen = { Pendant=176,Table=174,Spotlights=90,Temp=1549,Motion=1548,Humidity=1551,Lux=1550,UV=1552,XmasLight=1531, WineFridgeTemp=1,Dishwasher=1,rcTV=1490,rcSonos=1561,TTS_message="",TTS_volume=10,RadFav=3,IsPlaying=1,nowPlaying="",vol=1,clip="" }, } jHomeTable = json.encode(jsonHome) -- ENCODES THE DATA IN JSON FORMAT BEFORE STORING fibaro:setGlobal("HomeTable", jHomeTable) -- THIS STORES THE DATA IN THE VARIABLE fibaro:debug("global jTable created") -- STANDARD DEBUG LINE TO DISPLAY A MESSAGE -- I then like to read back a entry from the table to show that the table didnt get corrupt in the process. local jT = json.decode(fibaro:getGlobalValue("HomeTable")) -- REFERENCE TO DECODE TABLE fibaro:debug(jT.kitchen.Motion) -- DISPLAY ONE VARIALE the output of this when I click the button (or run the scene is as follows) It is reading back the ID (1548) stored for Motion under the kitchen grouping I would recommend using an external editor like Notepad++ or Zerobrane to edit/manage the code in the vd and then copy back to the vd when ready to update as the HC2 lua editor is very small At this stage you now have your table REFERENCING THE TABLE CONTENTS IN YOUR SCENES AND VIRTUAL DEVICES For this you need to place the following line of code in each scene or vd local jT = json.decode(fibaro:getGlobalValue("HomeTable")) and then use references instead of device ID's in the scene code. The easiest way to explain this is with an example. This scene switches on a light in my kitchen if it is dark, motion is detected and no light is on already --[[ %% properties 1548 value %% events %% global --]] local jT = json.decode(fibaro:getGlobalValue("HomeTable")) -- KITCHEN AUTOLIGHTS if (tonumber(fibaro:getGlobalValue("Darkness")) == 1 ) and (tonumber(fibaro:getValue(jT.kitchen.Motion, "value")) > 0 ) and (tonumber(fibaro:getValue(jT.kitchen.Spotlights, "value")) == 0 ) and (tonumber(fibaro:getValue(jT.kitchen.Pendant, "value")) == 0 ) and (tonumber(fibaro:getValue(jT.kitchen.Table, "value")) == 0 ) and (tonumber(fibaro:getValue(jT.sunroom.Light, "value")) == 0 ) and (tonumber(fibaro:getValue(jT.sunroom.Lamp, "value")) == 0 ) then fibaro:call(jT.kitchen.Pendant, "setValue", "40") UpdateEventLog("kitchen lights auto on") end It's easy enough to see how the references are built up if you examine the scene v the table at the top of this post and that it !! Addition: If you need to adjust a single parameter in the table you can use the following. This can be useful if you don't want to adjust one value and then copy the whole table back into the vd and update or more useful if you want to adjust the value in the fly in a script. -- NEW PARAMETER VALUE jT.kitchen.Motion=2000 -- TO SAVE THE CHANGE jSonosTable = json.encode(jT) fibaro:setGlobal("SonosTable", jSonosTable) fibaro:debug("global jTable created") Hopefully this will help some users If you have any suggestions as to how to improve this please let me know and I'll edit -frank ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Copy of my table to show how flexible 8. L.S. I'd like to request the functionality to open device or a scene by clicking on the device/scene icon, instead or next to the small wrench. This will make working with the devices and scenes much easier. Best regards, Bodyart
  9. Hi, I have an issue to control some devices by iPhone or iPad. Most of the time I can't switch a VD by iPhone or iPad. It either responds very late 20min to 1h or never, but sometimes it goes directly. The VD's are AC's and TV's controlled by IR converter iTach. The icon on the phone/pad changes directly but no response at the device. I checked the iTach and it works correct if I operate it directly by other software. Currently I'm running 4.153, but the problem was there before. Any suggestion are welcome
  10. When i installed a dimmer2 and connected it to mij hc2 it created a set of devices. One is de dimmer to put on of or control light power One is a remote switch. How can i use this? I see 4 numbered events where i can activate scenes. The manual is verry verry basic and does not tell the full operation and nothing about programming on hc2. What i understand is: push puls switch once: lights on to previus power strength push puls switch again once: lights out Pusch puls switch two times : lights to maximum How can ik regulate light strength with the puls switch? Or is this not posible? Then programming. Can i read puls switch events to scenes? Is this done bij de remote switch device? What is event 12,13,14 and 16? Can ik opperate de dimmer bij programming and ignore puls switch actions ( i want to use the puls switch actions in custom scenes). A lot of questions. I hope there will be some answers. Thanks for that.
  11. Has anyone some experience with powerring battery operated devices? there are many step down converters in the market converting 5V DC (USB charger) to 3,3V DC - suitable for different battery operated Fibaro modules. Has Anyone tried this? Although after this modification the device will be still recognised by HC2/HCL as battery powerred, it can be a solution in some situations where powerline is present and we can then forget about checking batteries
  12. My HC2 with firmware 4.140 does not list all registered devices when I do a ///api/devices. It only returns 10 devices in the JSON response array. When I try to access a device that is not listed in this response I get a "404 page not found" error. Some background: I have only installed the HC2 a few days ago. The first devices I registered appear in the JSON device list. Then I moved the HC2 to another floor and registered more devices. These devices do not appear in the JSON, although they work perfectly fine in the HC2 GUI. I have also rebooted the HC2, but it still won't allow API access to all devices. Any idea what's happening here? Thank you for your assistance Thomas
  13. Hi All, wondering what other people use some of the more ( well to me anyway ) obscure devices for .. I'm not very imaginative when it comes to some impelemtations with the newer hardware, preferring to use a switch or relay ( only because I'm comfortable with them ) So for instance I have 3 buttons in the daughters room .. green for lights on, yellow for 50% and red for lights off. ( my lass is 24 now ..! ) Not very imaginative... I use my fob to control the opening and closing of my observatory, my upper windows and my blinds, but I'm sure there are some better utilisation of the fob as the windows and blinds are on lux and weather anyway I don't have a swipe as I don't know how I would utilise it, or how people use it... I feel pretty sure someone is using a swipe for something very cool though. .. and then I wonder if, having just google homed my home, it all becomes a bit irrelevant when you can control lighting, kodi etc with your voice .. Until it's supported properly in HC2 it's a bit hit and miss, but it has already started insiduously transforming how we do things at home in teeny weeny little ways .. and I keep finding more and more ways of integrating it. I've just decked out my mother inlaws house with google home so she can call out for an assist if she needs it, dial us by voice, get the weather, and generally have somoen to ask questions of and get reminders from for medications and things like that, as well as running a shopping list so we can pick things up for her on our daily visits. .. she also has a HCL which I installed, that runs a series of motion sensor night lights, I'm thinking of a button near her favorite chair and perhaps bedside to turn on all lights in the house, as she's 92 and chooses to live alone, so it might give her a little more security .. I can't see a swipe in her future though ? or a fob ( too small anyways probably ) .. Talk about 1st world problems .. too much technology, and I don't know how to implement it Cheers for any thoughts, or ideas, or any other items you've integrated in an unusual way ? Cheers, al.
  14. I suddenly have a small problem with my HC2. I have approx 50-60 devices. All kinds of devices like, dimmers, wallplugs. relays, thermostats, rollershutters, sirens, garagedoor controllers etc. Suddenly out of nowhere allmost all my devices change state when some scenes are running. I have made no changes. The scenes are simple block scenes that turns on or off some light in the morning/evening triggered by a timer and a variable. They have been running like this for months. Suddenly when this scenes are triggered all my devices change state. Blinds closes, garagedoors opens, light are turned on. What can cause this? Have tried to restore and older backup. Did not help. Are running ver. 4.130. Anyone have an idea?
  15. L.S. I woul'd like to request the feature to disable the transparant background when a device is open, because it only disturbs reading when the underlaying info shines throu the background and it has no other added value. Thank you for your attention.
  16. Hi, Has anyone stumbled across a setting or api command etc that will untick send me email warnings when the battery is low ? Just curious, as it's a little annoying at times. I thought at one stage I changed the frequency of emails, but it may have been a different system or I dreamt it, as I'm blowed if I can find it now ! I can go through and change them manually, it's just a lot of things to change and I'm lazy .. Ideally it would still remind me.. but maybe only once .. Cheers, al.
  17. do you know any procedure for updating the firmware of the devices with HCL? thx
  18. Hi, I'm having trouble getting my fibaro to send my hikvision screen shots to my email address. My foscam works fine, but the 3 Hikvisions dont. When I press the "snapshot" bottom, nothing happens. I know my mpeg and jpeg settings are correct because when I set the device to refresh every 3 screens on the home page, it works fine. I've tested this to make sure it's using the jpeg path and it is. Any thoughts? I'm using the new Hikvisions 2142 4MP cameras. Thank you,
  19. Hello Due do a hardware fault of my weather station I cannot exclude the corresponding device(s) anymore. I now have a bunch of devices with no content, hence which do not work but which I also cannot delete on my HC2 with 4.090 Tried to do the regular deletion though the web interface but this either fails with an error message or devices re-show after a browser refresh. Is there any idea of how I can get rid of these devices? The notification center also gives me the yellow exclamation mark but if I look into the Z-Wave diagnostic panel then everything is configured properly... Thanks for helping - Frank
  20. Hi to all members. I'm looking for a smart home controll system. At this time I'm toggle between HomeCenter 2 and HomePilot 2 (Rademacher, Germany) First of all I will controll my window blinds and in the next step lights and heating. For my window blinds I will/must use RolloTron DuoFern (Rademacher) For this units there is a DuoFern USB-Stick aviable. I don't find any infomation about the compatibly between HC2 and this DuoFern USB-Stick. Did anyone knows that it's still working? Thanks. ATARI
  21. I finally stumbled with my HC2 and I'm very unhappy at the moment. Now I can finally understand most of the users here on forum why they cry, curse and show discontent. So here is my short story: HC2 with FW 4.080 with installed 255 devices, 49 scenes in 24 rooms. I happily added my first Fibaro swipe and after that decided to make backup just in case. Backup is made but after that I noticed that HC started deleting devices. I wrote down devices ID that appeared in that small event log dialog on the top of the page and when finished compared with my list. At first it looked ok because all deleted devices ID actually was not on the list. But after refreshing 'Your House' page I noticed that some devices are missing. I compared with my list that I made in excel and found out that is missing 55 devices of which most are smart plugs, two of six roller shutters, some of the motion sensors, some of the door/window sensors, all three flood sensors, all three fire sensors, two relay modules. There is no logic in this unfortunate event, at least none that I can see, because deleted sensors and modules are equally near or far from the control center, also many are not battery operated but connected to the power like roller shutters, relays, smart plugs! Before making backup I noticed that my battery operated Vision siren is showing dead and could not wake it up, but I thought that this is because of weak batteries. Is it possible that one dead device can make such damage and delete so many other devices? Some kind of explanation would be nice to know, but nevertheless, this kind of unfortunate event should not happen anyway. Now even if I somehow reconnect deleted devices I will always be afraid to make another backup. And when we loose confidence we all know that there is never happy ending. If there is anyone out there that had same experience and manage to solve it I will be more than thankful if he/she share his/her knowledge here. I don't expect any help or answer from Fibaro because toy makers do not have or need to give support
  22. Hey there. I just bought the Z-Wave Fibaro Starter Kit, FIBESTART from Amazon WHD. I connected the HCL to my network. After that I tried to connect devices via the webseite and the app. But I couldn't start the learning mode: I clicked on add but the timer (like in that youtube video https://youtu.be/YcM_u1CiOkE?t=12s)didn't show up. So my question is if I did something wrong and what can I do? Thanks in advance. Florian
  23. Hi Folks, I'm looking for a PIR solution that's immune to Pets. I use my motion sensors to determine occupancy but with our cat walking around its causing an issue. I know that I can get a zwave pet immune PIR but in europe the only one I can find is the EcoLink ( http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ecolink-Detector-Consumer-Portable-Electronics/dp/B00OEB9Z20 )at 118 sterling (its about $30 in the US and I know its different device but go figure in the cost difference) .. at 118 its too expensive for me I have two PIR's in my current alarm system and I am replacing these with Pet Immune ones and I could add a third one to cover the primary living space downstairs, At ~€20 each this is a viable solution. My Siemens alarm is tied into my HC2 using Gorans SPC Gateway and I can see all the sensor status in the HC and can trigger off of those. I do have a good many Everspring SP814 sensors dotted around the house and wanted to use them Has anybody a method to make a standard sensor (like the above) behave like a pet immune motion sensor Any mad crazy idea welcome .. or ever some sane ones Thanks -F
  24. HI, I wasn't sure where to post this so forgive me if this is the wrong place I am trying to get a dump of all the devices by displaying the id and name (from the device panel) I tried a simple lua script but could not find a reliable parameter that represents the 'name' I think it is because I am reading direct from the device and not from the HC2 where the name is stored I am writing some discrete housekeeping scenes "turn off all sonos zones upstairs", "turn off all lights downstairs" that I'll trigger from a master house keeping scene Any help would be appreciated Thanks Frank
  25. Every devices added to HC2 gets its personal ID, but there's a lot of gaps in ID number. HC2 says I have 32 devices, the last one added got ID #180.. Will this be a problem in the long run..?
