    Hi @cag014,

I have installed the emulated binary sensor as HC2 Fibaro motion sensor and in the list of devices it looks good with the right name and the right battery notification.

Then I have tried to add it to an Alarm Zone and there the new sensor is not visible, while the same device is visible as HC2Proxy device. So I still have to use HC2Proxy for alarm development.

So what is the value of this emulated binarySensor above the good working <device>'hc2?

That one actually Fibaro's bug... have reported to support

    Hi @cag014,

Using "sceneactivation=13" (heldDown ZME-WALLC) often does not work, because it is quickly followed by Release "sceneactivation=15".

Please login or register to see this spoiler.

Since the controller is part of HC2 I can't scan HC2 very fast because than I can miss events in HC3 (which is the main system).

This time the phrase "is at your fingertips" absolutely correct. Just hold a little bit longer the button than usual and it will work.

    All,

I'm trying to create a quick starter for AOQ that could be understandable very easy  to users.

I'll appreciate your time to write some ideas in attached file, like what have been unexplained well for you and you have troubles to implement.

Feel free to ignore it also.

Indeed, but using Release "sceneactivation=15" works whatever the fingertip ?

    Hi @cag014,

In HC2 I have a buzzer in the hall which is controlled by a Fibaro switch. It produces sound of 1x 1 second, 2x 1 second, 3x 1 second. For each is a HC2 scene.

To implement this in HC3 I have 3 choices:

    1. A HC3 scene with parameter for the number of buzzes.
    2. A HC3 QA with parameter for the number of buzzes.
    3. AOQ line.

    What is wise?

Wow... creative solution... Absolutely correct, after held-down on different button - different release sent.

    Awesome...

    An excellent tip for users.

Personally, I prefer to do whatever possible in AOQ. It makes maintenance much easier.

I'm using Scene/QA solution for HTTP request only.

I am trying to do it also, so till now all could be implemented in AOQ.

But how to implement in AOQ a repeated action where the number of repetitions can be declared and the line can be "called" from several other lines?

A made a choice of my own AOQ tips list which could be relevant for others too.

Most of them are answers/solutions of @cag014 at my questions. Because I had this questions means that these issues were not explained enough for me in the guides, or the need on specific functionalities were not mentioned before. In general there is a need in the AOQ guide for a lot of examples for every definition/specification.

Omission in my list is everything about the HC2 slave functionalities in order to make the migration from HC2 to HC3 bearable, smoothly and WAF-approved.

O.K. errAct is clear, but which line can be activated if all disarming has succeeded?

AOQ should be last on that list.

Job and wife are  the most important things in our life.

    Thanks...

So i did a first round of tests and that what's happen in my system:

    1) cpu load is coherent with the more recent versions.

    2) cpu load is proportional with number of zwave devices included in js and jm lines

    3) delay is average 1,5 sec and is proportional to the number of zwave devices ( no delay at all for less than 5-6 devices, may 10 but i stepped 1-2-5-10-20-50-70)

    4) no difference if you declare a slave controller

    5) cpu impact if you declare slave controller and no local zwave devices is 15-20%

    6) cpu impact with empty jslave,jm,js lines is about 10-15% ( tested on another hc3 with no zwave device associated)

I don't know how aoq works but it looks that cpu load and delay are related to reading zwave devices state and may be it's a firmware issue. There's also the issue that cpu load spikes if there's a lot of calls to refresh device state via web api ( i can't use more than 3 tablet with homeremote always on).

So may be better to wait next firmware release to compare. For now i choose to use block scenes for lights, and wall remote, not delay at all. Climate, sprinklers and less delay sensitive action are driven by aoq

Compared to a only block scenes configuration i have an accetable average load , and i can drive my slave hcl.

I tried to "play" with net.http.client timeout, but i can't see any difference.

Let me know if you need more specific infos.

that's screenshot of current configuration cpu load

I forgot to mention that after every single step or modification i rebooted hc3 to assure same starting condition
