Well, scenes are restarted if they don't answer 'PONG' on a 'PING' from the Supervisor.

Do you see that your scenes are restarted too often? On my side it runs smoothly - but I only have 4 ER scenes at the moment.

I have pushed a new version of Supervisor with better debugging. (B6). Try that. ( @Sjakietoo)

If you do see a lot of restarts try to set PINGTIMEOUT='+/00:00:20" and maybe POLLINTERVAL = "+/00:01" to trigger the PING more often so it's easier to watch.

Sorry, pushed yet another version of Supervisor (B7).

When the Supervisor gets a PONG back it will log the time it took " (resp:Xs)"

If that response time starts to get close to PINGTIMEOUT you need to increase the PINGTIMEOUT

I have set PINGTIMEOUT to 20s now as default ( "+/00:00:20").

I also removed an annoying log when the ER Log DB was printed out at start.

  • I pushed a new helper scene, iCal.lua. (same subdirectories as Supervisor.lua)

It fetches calendar events from google calendar or apple (iCloud) calendar.

The ical parsing is based on @jcichon01 google calendar scene., credits in scene.

The way to use it is from any scene.

Subscribe to a calendar and provide a name. You can subscribe to many calendars.

You will receive #calendar events back when the calendar event is starting and when it is stopping.

In the example below I put a EventScript command (something that starts with a '%') in the description field of the calendar event and execute it - but you could do other stuff.

Please login or register to see this code.

You mean that POLLINTERVAL is  "+/00:01" (i.e. 1 minute) I hope.

In the screenshot/log, did you get the "Scene not answering - restarting scene!" messages for the scenes earlier?

In any case, your log looks really strange, no scene seems to report back in time (20s) and sometimes the Supervisor doesn't react until after 30s... the only way this makes sense is if your system is terrible overloaded...

    Do this:

We are increasing the intervalls a lot to see if everything is just running slow. (Have you rebooted your box lately?)

    Hallo Jan,

    Sorry for the typo

    local POLLINTERVAL = "+/00:05"    -- poll every 3 minute
local PINGTIMEOUT = "+/00:02:00"  -- No answer in 10s, scene will be restarted
local STARTUPDELAY = "+/00:00:40" -- Time for scene to startup after a restart before pinging starts again
local MAXRESTARTS = 2             -- Number of failed restarts before disabling t

All scenes are back on manual after I put them on automatic.

    Only supervisor is running

Box rebooted  today after being stucked by an alarm

    Box runs at 0-20%

Should code above be placed in iCal.lua or another scene?

    hello,

just an idea to do: I have a flag outside with a light spot on. Idea change the light bulb into hue color.

If switched on changing every 5 minutes the color

    How to do?

With my knowledge I will fill an a3 paper with rules guess it should be able to short it

I used the wait but that is not give the good result

    Rule.eval("@20:27  =>  woonkamer.lampplafondklokzijde:on ; wait(00:00:15) ; woonkamer.lampplafondklokzijde:value={bri=125, hue=50, sat=0, transitiontime=2, col=75} ,wait(00:00:15) ; woonkamer.lampplafondklokzijde:value={bri=125, hue=50, sat=62, transitiontime=2, col=150} ; wait(00:00:15) ; woonkamer.lampplafondklokzijde:value={bri=125, hue=50, sat=124, transitiontime=2, col=75}; wait(00:00:15) ; woonkamer.lampplafondklokzijde:value={bri=125, hue=50, sat=186, transitiontime=2, col=75} ; wait(00:00:15) ; woonkamer.lampplafondklokzijde:value={bri=125, hue=50, sat=255, transitiontime=2, col=75}")

Or do I overload HC2, supervisor or all?
    Please advice

it should be placed in another scene. The idea is that iCal should not need to be touched. All parameters come from other scenes subscribing to calendars.

I would like to change iOSLocator to this model too.

No, it's pretty simple. I post an example tomorrow morning.

Ok, just wanna confirm that i was thinking right. But for me it is not working, i have setup iCloud calendar and set it to public, when will scene fetch the data, every minute?

Does it have some debug flag to turn on?

@Sjakie your CPU load looks really high. My average is around 30% during 5min.
I run 6 ER scenes now without any problems. Could it be some other problems? Earlier i did see some picture from your post that deviceID in your HC2 was high, more than 1500 or so. Perhaps the database is corrupt?
Perhaps you should create a ticket to fibaro support to see if they find some strange setup of your box

07.10 Scene woonkamer is generating the most traffic>>> switched off

All older scenes of ER deleted ( I dont think they will consume but supervisor will ping them)

I watched it 5 minutes and the picture looks very nice

             Sometimes a peak 70%

Supervisor is still missing sometimes 1-2 minutes with this low load

No, it fetches data every 30min, and when it starts up.

I have pushed a new version of iCal.lua (B2) with some more debugs.

At the end of main() there is the lines

Probably should add a forceUpdate command.
